Parents, guardians, and scholars,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I am both honored and enthusiastic to be the principal of Rodriguez PREP Academy. In the thirteen years, I have been with the San Bernardino City Unified School District, I have enjoyed experience as a middle school science teacher, district demonstration teacher, vice principal, and the very proud principal of Rodriguez PREP Academy.
As a team, the Rodriguez staff transformed Rodriguez into a School of Engineering and Design. This focus exposes our students to problem-based learning and college and career fields in science, engineering, technology, and mathematics (S.T.E.M.). Our School of Engineering and Design provides all our students with the opportunity to take a wide array of elective classes. Additionally, our scholars are provided a rigorous learning environment through learning experiences that have scholars thinking at higher levels. We strive in ensuring that all scholars are held to high expectations and provide every scholar the support they need to succeed.
I am very humbled to continue my professional journey with the RPA family, and I will work hard building strong trusting relationships with scholars, parents, teachers, staff, and community. As principal, my goal is to collaborate with the whole RPA team in ensuring that Rodriguez PREP Academy is a positive, caring and safe environment for all scholars so that scholars can be provided rigorous learning opportunities as a means to increase their academic achievement.
I know that by working together we will achieve great success in the 2022-2023 school year.
